Leander, TX – The Leander Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is asking for the public’s help in identifying those involved in a string of criminal mischief incidents that occurred on May 29 and May 30, 2025, between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
According to investigators, several juveniles were seen throwing frozen water bottles from moving vehicles in multiple locations across Leander and surrounding areas, including Georgetown.
The following vehicles were involved:
- A 2014 white Dodge Durango with a sunroof – seen near San Gabriel Pkwy and Highway 270.
- A lifted, two-tone white and gray pickup truck.
- A dark-colored truck with a chrome brush guard – seen near N Bagdad Rd in Leander.
Some of the recovered water bottles were believed to have been purchased from a Circle K store, although the location remains unknown.
These reckless acts damaged numerous windshields, mirrors, and headlights, with at least two victims sustaining facial injuries.
