Stolen Vehicle Stop Leads to Meth and Body Armor Arrest

Harris County, TX – Deputies with Harris County Constable Precinct 3 conducted a high-risk traffic stop on a vehicle in the 9700 block of Sheldon Road.

The driver, identified as Brian Hatten, was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a ballistic vest with soft and hard rifle plates, along with approximately 2.14 grams of methamphetamine in the driver’s side door pocket.

Hatten was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of body armor by a felon, and possession of a controlled substance.

He was booked into the Harris County Jail.
