Harris County, TX – On June 5, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted an undercover operation at Essence Massage in the 3400 block of FM 2920, following multiple complaints from the public.
During the investigation, a female employee solicited a detective for sex acts. The woman, identified as Han Meimei, was arrested and charged with Prostitution. The business owner, Yali Tong, was charged with Promotion of Prostitution. Han Meimei’s bond was set at $100, while Yali Tong’s bond was set at $5,000.
Authorities warn that illegal massage parlors are often used to conceal more serious crimes such as money laundering and human trafficking. Workers may be victims of coercion, fraud, or threats.
