Vehicle Fire Quickly Extinguished on I-45 in The Woodlands

The Woodlands, TX – Just before 9:00 a.m., The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire along the northbound main lanes of I-45, just south of SH 242.

Engine 101 arrived to find a small four-door sedan on the outside shoulder with visible flames in the engine compartment. Firefighters acted swiftly, extinguishing the blaze and working with partners to clear the roadway. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

TWFD was assisted by Needham Fire & Rescue, Montgomery County ESD #4, and DPS.
